Our favored sportsbooks offer a wide range of NFL lines. Our NFL game picks are tailored to these markets, finding the best available odds.
Here is a guide to some of the different type of lines that you can expect to see when betting on the NFL.
Moneyline NFL Picks
Perhaps the simplest football bet is a moneyline pick. You have to predict the result of a game.
There are only the two options of either team to win, with the rare occurrence of a tie bringing about a push.
Many of our top NFL picks this week will see our AI systems keep it simple and stick to a straight moneyline prediction.
NFL Picks Against the Spread
A spread in football is where the favorite is given a points handicap to overcome and the underdog receives a points advantage.
If you bet on the favorite to win by a bigger number of points than their handicap, or the underdog to lose by less than their advantage (or to win), then you are betting against the spread.
NFL ATS picks provide good odds, as the spread applied tends to even up the market, even if one team is a big favorite on the moneyline.
We’ve got pro football picks against the spread covered here. They sit alongside regular NFL spread picks and bets on the site.
NFL Totals Picks (Over/Under)
The most popular NFL score predictions bet are totals. A total number of points is set and you have to bet on whether the combined score of the two teams will be over or under that amount.
NFL over/under picks are also available for other football statistics, such as total touchdowns.
That’s a betting angle to consider, because these make for interesting American football predictions to feed into our computer.
NFL Parlay Picks
NFL fans love to place parlays. With so many games taking place, particularly on Sundays, it is a fun activity to group a number of bets together and try to land a big win.
Or, you can take a parlay more seriously, by grouping together some short-priced NFL matchups predictions and football locks to create one wager that pays out at good value odds.
NFL Prop Picks
Some of the best NFL picks come from the props section. Props refers to a proposition being made, where you have to bet on the outcome.
So you can bet on the total passing yards of a quarterback, or which team will score first.
Props can be broken down into two types. There are player props, based around the performances of individual key players, or team props, which concentrate on the performances of the team as a whole.
NFL Playoff Predictions
After the regular season comes the excitement of the NFL playoffs, with the competing teams being whittled down until two remain, who contest the Super Bowl.
The stakes are high at this stage of the season and very often it is tough to pick a winner on playoff games.
That makes NFL predictions against the spread from BetIdeas and other value picks, a valuable resource for you to take advantage of.

FAQs
What are NFL computer picks?
NFL computer predictions are betting picks that are selected using AI technology. Relevant data to an NFL game is sourced by the AI, then it runs thousands of simulations to see how the game might unfold. With that knowledge, the AI can pick out bets, with the very best odds available.
How do I get better at football tips?
Take a look at BetIdeas’ AI NFL predictions. These picks are made by our AI systems and are based upon data relevant to each game, which is used to create countless simulations and pick out the best bets. From studying these picks, you’ll get a good idea of what type of NFL bets work.
Why give free NFL picks and predictions?
We give out free football picks here at BetIdeas because we want our betting advice to be read by the widest audience possible. Some handicappers charge for their expert NFL picks, but that doesn’t mean that they are more accurate than free ones. Tipping services utilize different models of funding and ours does not involve charging our readers.
What is the most accurate NFL predictor?
Many seasoned handicappers provide pro picks, combining research, experience and nous to produce a steady stream of winning tips. Here at BetIdeas we utilize AI technology, which can analyze more relevant data than a human could and create thousands of simulations to make the best football picks. Both approaches can be successful and ultimately, the profit/loss records at the end of the season will show which is more accurate.
