When Do We Post Our EFL League One Predictions?
We tend to publish our League One betting tips on the day the match takes place. This is around the optimum timeframe for most betting predictions on BetIdeas.
We need the teams involved to have played their previous fixtures before we can start the work that generates our tips, to ensure that the information we analyse is accurate.
Our AI systems source relevant data to a League One match, which includes factors such as team news, the latest form, past encounters between the sides, home and away records, tactical information and weather forecasts.
Using this data, we then create a countless number of simulations, which helps us understand how the game in question can unfold and provide suitable League 1 tips.
We can then match that information to available bets from our recommended sportsbooks, to provide League One tips and predictions in plenty of time for you to be able to place your bets.

League One Season Predictions
As well as giving predictions on league matches, we also provide League One outright tips. Here are some of the different types of outright bets that are available for this division.
League One Winner Predictions
You can bet on which team will win League One. Very often, the biggest team in the division, with the most money to spend on transfers and wages, will start as favourites.
Over the last 25-30 years, some massive clubs have found themselves in League One, such as Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
Yet though the big clubs may start as favourites, that situation can quickly change, depending on their league position, as the season unfolds.
League One Promotion Tips
The teams finishing first and second in League One are automatically promoted, with the sides finishing third through to sixth, battling for a single promotion place through the play-offs. League One promotion predictions can be a very helpful tool.
There are only three spots available, but with a team finishing as low as sixth having a chance of promotion, a wide range of teams are in contention over the course of the season. This situation means that there can be a big fluctuation in the odds of our League 1 predictions.
League One Relegation Predictions
Of the four professional divisions in the English football pyramid, League One is unique. This is because the bottom four teams endure relegation at the end of the season.
There are three teams relegated from the Premier League and Championship, while only two clubs go down from League Two.
This situation means that a large number of teams can be in danger of relegation over the course of the season. Again, odds can fluctuate wildly and our advice can help you to secure a winning bet.
About EFL League One
There are 24 teams in League One, each of whom play each other twice, home and away. This means that every team plays 46 matches throughout the season and provides more opportunities to bet on English League 1 predictions.
A win in a league game sees teams earn three points, while a draw is worth one point and a loss earns zero points. If teams are level on points, then goal difference comes into play, so the ability to score regularly and keep a clean sheet is important.
The top two teams in League One achieve automatic promotion to the Championship. Teams finishing in third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions, compete for the third promotion spot in the play-offs.
The play-offs see two semi-finals, which are played over two legs, followed by a one-off final at Wembley. With the teams occupying the bottom four positions in League One being relegated, this is a division that sees a lot of change.
Each season, four teams are promoted from League 2 and three teams are relegated from the Championship into League One, totalling seven new clubs.
