Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes were the most dangerous duo in the NFL for a half-decade.
Could they reunite in 2025?
The Dolphins were blown out in their opener and Hill was visibly frustrated on the bench, leading to speculation that the mercurial wideout could be on the move in the coming weeks or months.
It wouldn’t be a stretch, as Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, DeAndre Hopkins and Mike Williams were all dealt midseason in 2024.
However, Hill was also accused this week of domestic abuse by his ex-wife, continuing a years-long trend of troubling abuse allegations.
It remains to be seen if other teams would want to trade for Hill, but if it comes to that point, there are two clear favorites, according to oddsmaker Shane Orton of BetIdeas.

The Favorites
Chiefs (+300)
The Chiefs lost speedster Xavier Worthy to a dislocated shoulder in their opener, while Rashee Rice is suspended for the first six weeks of the year.
While Kansas City has made the Super Bowl each of the three seasons since Hill departed, the explosiveness in the passing game has waned. Hill is 31 years old and likely not the same player as in his prime, but would still be a major upgrade at wide receiver for Kansas City.
Steelers (+500)
The Pittsburgh Steelers are the other top option.
Aaron Rodgers threw for 244 yards and four touchdowns in Pittsburgh’s season-opening 34-32 win over the Jets. DK Metcalf is a star outside but the Steelers could use another big-play threat.
The immediacy is there in Pittsburgh, as this could be Rodgers’ final season in the NFL, and the defense is among the best in the NFL.
Raiders (+900)
Geno Smith looked sharp in the opener, and Las Vegas is hoping for a quick turnaround under new coach Pete Carroll.
The Raiders signed Amari Cooper late in the preseason, but he then decided to retire, leaving a void at receiver opposite Jakobi Meyers.
Tight end Brock Bowers is a star, but is dealing with a knee injury. While the Chiefs are the favorites to land Hill, this fellow AFC West team could also be in the mix.
Cardinals (+1200)
Arizona has a star tight end in Trey McBride and an ascending wideout in Marvin Harrison, Jr., but after that it is bleak.
No other player had more than 10 receiving yards in the team’s season-opening win against the Saints, and there is no imposing vertical threat on the roster.
The Cardinals have a soft schedule early, which could embolden them to make a move for Hill and make a run at the NFC West title.
Chargers (+1400)
It was a great first week for the Chargers, as Justin Herbert led the way to a win over the Chiefs. Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen both played well, although there are questions if both can keep it up throughout the season.
Los Angeles may fancy itself a Super Bowl contender, and Hill would add sanother playmaker to the offense.
