The Phoenix Suns traded Kevin Durant to the Rockets earlier this month, signaling a rebuild in the desert.
But is the potential availability of another all-time great too tempting to pass up?
LeBron James could be on the move this offseason, and Betideas can reveal the Suns are listed among the favorites to trade for the 40-year-old future Hall of Famer, per Bovada.
LeBron James Next Team Odds If Not the Lakers
- Cavaliers +185
- Warriors +255
- Heat +325
- Suns +425
- 76ers +600
- Mavericks +750
- Nets +950
A third stint with the hometown Cavaliers is the favored destination if James does leave Los Angeles, and it makes sense based on Cleveland’s current status as a title contender. James could also follow in Durant’s footsteps by trying to win a ring with Stephen Curry in the Bay Area, while a reunion with Miami is also among the favorites.
If James goes to Phoenix, he would pair with Devin Booker as a 1-2 punch that would try to bring the Suns back into contention. The Suns received Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and No. 10 overall pick Khaman Maluach from the Rockets in the Durant deal, and also added center Mark Williams on draft night.
Phoenix currently has long title odds, as it seems Mat Ishbia has bought into the idea of a rebuild, but the Suns owner has been ultra-aggressive since buying the team. If James is available and interested in Phoenix, a trade can’t be ruled out, and the betting odds reflect it.
